Olio Capitale 2024
After the success of previous editions, Olio Capitale expo returns to Trieste with the upcoming event scheduled for March 8-10, 2024. Once again, following the established format, Italy’s primary exhibition dedicated to extra virgin olive oil will offer visitors the opportunity to taste the oil of the new harvest directly from the producers; they will also be able to learn about and appreciate different varieties, pair the oil with dishes and receive free advice from professional tasters at the Oil Bar.
Participants to Olio Capitale will also take part in guided tastings and other related events. Moreover, over 20 proposals for Olive Tourism will be available, offering vacations at producers’ facilities that include stays and experiences on their farms.
Next year, exhibitors from all over Italy and a representation from Greece will be present. The novelties, however, lie in the extensive program of related events that will directly involve visitors in interactive and experiential activities.
In addition to TCC, the entire city of Trieste will be involved: starting from March 2024, partner restaurants will feature the ‘Olio Capitale’ dish on their menus, paired with four different extra virgin oils. Some cocktail bars throughout the city will offer the creations of their best bartenders invented specifically for the occasion, using extra virgin olive oil. Aperitifs will be accompanied by bruschetta and olives, all highlighting the extra virgin quality.
